Battle field “Advertising”

Here is the story of a battle between car producers on the field of advertising. I have always known that there is a very strong competition between the car brands, but I never thought that they will use almost every single occasion to strike the most vulnerable place of their opponent.
I guess it all began with this ad by BMW, which aimed to mock over Audi for becoming only South African Car of the Year 2006, while BMW is the World Car of the Year for 2006.

Well, from BMW didn’t had to wait too long because Audi copy writers and designers had just the right answer:

And of course, since Subaru is competing for almost the same target, they had their contribution to the battle, striking at both competitors: BMW and Audi.
